In 2015, OHSU met a historic fundraising match. A truly inspirational community came together to raise $1 billion to successfully complete the Knight Cancer Challenge. Our mission: to end cancer as we know it. Three years later, the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute is about to open the doors to the building where this ambitious goal will become a reality.
The Knight Cancer Research Building (KCRB) is on OHSU’s South Waterfront campus and will house the new Cancer Early Detection Advanced Research Center, the first large-scale program dedicated to early detection of lethal cancers. Construction of this building was funded by a $200 million investment from the state of Oregon.
As the walls of this building rise, cancer as we know it will fall. This kind of world-changing science needs ongoing philanthropy to fuel the biggest, boldest ideas and research. Will you join us in building a healthier world?
